We love these paperback hedgehogs – they are a good way to use up those old paperback books that no-one reads.
Instructions
Remove the cover from the books.
Start with a simple fold, fold each page in half, longways towards the middle of the book.
Work your way through the whole book, folding each page in turn.
Next make the snout.
Fold a corner of each page down (see picture) until you have again folded each page.
If you want to make a more rounded tail you can repeat this with a smaller fold at the other end of each page.
Glue on two eyes.
Cut out small circles of black card or felt and glue them on for the nose or use a small dark button.
Cut out two feet from black felt or card and glue on the base.
