Our September Competition
On 24th September we’ll be celebrating National Day of Arts in Care Homes – an annual event intending to champion, promote and encourage arts in care settings and highlight the health and wellbeing benefits for all involved.
For this competition, we would like you to assist your residents in producing creative self-portraits that reflect and celebrate their identity. These self-portraits may be drawings, paintings, collages, sculptures, or any other creative medium. Encourage individuality but most of all, have fun!

Unfortunately we are unable to accept postal entries. Please photograph your residents’ creations and submit them via the entry form linked below.

Make sure you display the artwork, either in residents’ bedrooms or in communal spaces for all to enjoy. You could even make a gallery area and host a viewing party for relatives and visitors!
Every entry will be featured on our website, in our popular Reader’s Corner. We will choose one winning entry. The resident will receive a certificate and the AC entering on their behalf will receive a bundle of goodies to support and enhance the activity provision within their care setting.
