Every month one of our team members nominates a charity of their choice to receive a £300 donation from The Daily Sparkle.
This month, Tessa, who proofreads all our newspapers, resource packs, magazines and the newsletter, chose FareShare, a charity which works hard to ensure waste food from supermarkets is reused and redistributed to the people who need it, through homeless hostels, community centres, breakfast clubs and older peoples lunches. She says: “FareShare is a charity that taps into all I feel passionately about in relation to food – the shocking waste of food these days, finding ways to prevent good food going to waste and helping as many people as possible to have a good and nutritious diet.”
