Since the pandemic forced us to stop running our popular one-day training, we have been looking for a way to offer our training remotely. And this April we are launching our new Online Zoom Training, a series of two 2.5 hour Zoom courses, run over consecutive weeks.
Reformatted for two 2.5 hour Zoom sessions, the online version of our face-to-face training will still provide the same evidence-based content from our specialist training team, and has been designed specifically for staff working in elderly and dementia care.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
The Activity Coordinator Online Course is divided into two equal and overlapping parts – a mix of practical training in skills such as developing high-quality activities and working effectively with people living with dementia; as well as looking at specific resources, such as the Daily Sparkle, which can be used to inspire, save time and maximise benefits when providing activities. You don’t need to be a subscriber to the Daily Sparkle to do the course, but it may help you to see the benefits of it in more detail. You can find a brief Training Day Course Outline here.
On completing the course, activity coordinators will be equipped with the skills they need to make a positive difference in their place of work.
