An empowering training for care teams working with those living with dementia.

This training will help participants to:

  • Understand distressed behaviour as a form of communication.
  • Consider strategies for addressing unmet needs.
  • Apply simple validation techniques to reduce the likelihood of agitation and distress.
  • Understand how meaningful activities can prevent distressed behaviour for those living with dementia.
  • Explore a range of activity-based approaches including Reminiscence Therapy, Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST), Sensory Therapy

COST: 89.00 per person, includes both sessions.

Morning Session: 9.30 – 12.00pm

Afternoon Session: 1.00 – 3.00pm

If you are booking places for multiple staff to attend from one care home / location:
1. 1 or max 2 people to a device (computer or tablet)
2. No more than one device in a room
This ensures that the trainer can view everyone’s faces clearly on the Zoom screen, and participants are close enough to the device to type their answers in the chat box. These conditions help us facilitate individual participation and group interaction in our interactive training.

Cancellation/refund policy: Our courses are in high demand and have limited space so unfortunately we are unable to provide refunds on our training days. Please ensure that you/your team member is able to attend the training date advertised before booking. If you miss the session through illness or technical issues, we won’t be able to replace it with a future session. However, you are welcome to substitute a different staff member if the named person is unable to attend on the day by notifying .
