Our September ‘Lockdown Activities’ Competition invites you to tell us about all the imaginative ways you have been continuing your important work during lockdown…
- What activities have you and your carers managed to do with residents in their rooms during isolation?
- How have you helped residents to keep in touch with their loved ones?
- What advice would you give to a carer or activity coordinator facing another lockdown?
Our hope is to compile a whole bundle of tips and ideas to share with you all, to help build resilience in our community going forwards. The impacts of Covid-19 may be with us for some time, but together we can share and help each other.
The five winning entries will each receive a prize from our collection of activities, and will also be published on our online Hub, where we share ideas, tips and resources for activity coordinators. We aim to capture your innovative ideas and highlight examples of best practice so that they can be shared throughout the care community and help us all improve the quality of care in the UK.
The competition opens on 20th September, but you can start working on your entries now. To enter the competition, you need to complete the entry form online. All entries must be received in this way to be included in the competition. You will also need your care home reference number – a four- or five-digit number found in the subject line of the email which has your Daily or Weekly Sparkles attached.
All entries must be received by 21st October 2020, and the winners will be notified by 15th November 2020.
