We are excited to share this lovely drawing – a self-portrait by Helen, a resident at Abbeyfield Care Home in Newcastle. This artwork was produced as a result of our recent art competition. We were blown away by Helen’s efforts.
“At the age of twelve, Helen was told she could never do art. She received an absurdly low mark of 12% for an art exam. Helen has recently revisited art in her 90s; she is producing brilliant pieces of work that are impressing both staff and fellow residents.”
